Global Announcement of Training Program
Published in the International Herald Tribune

Maharishi announced the new training program during his February 23 global news conference. The announcement was then published in the International Herald Tribune on February 24 and in other major newspapers around the world.

Maharishi emphasized that every government is invited to participate in the training—whether the government is based on democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, communism, or any other system of administration. “The Invincibility Course is open to those already in government and those who want to be in government. Patriotic social, religious, and economic leaders are also invited for the training. They will rise to enlightenment themselves while creating invincibility for their nations,” Maharishi said.

Manmade constitutions are the cause of all failure of government

Maharishi identified manmade constitutions as the basic cause of all failures of governments today—and throughout history. “Governments are ruled by manmade constitutions,” Maharishi said. “But no manmade constitution can ever be free from human weaknesses and human failings. And that is why administration is unsatisfactory in every country.”

“The only salvation,” Maharishi said, “is for every government to have the science and technology of the most ideal, cosmic administration of the universe—the knowledge and practical techniques to gain the support of Natural Law in the national consciousness of the country.”

No military can save the nation

Maharishi emphasized that no military can safeguard the nation. “The fact is that no military can truthfully say today that it can save the country. Times have changed—governments are invited to face the facts. Neither their military power, nor their allies who are out to destroy the world, can save the nation through weapons and destructive means of defense,” Maharishi said. “Readiness to die and to kill the enemy is no guarantee of safety and security for any nation.”

Instead of depending on the military, Maharishi said, every government is invited to take recourse to “this new royal, divine knowledge to raise the nation to invincibility—to quietly and effectively ban the birth of an enemy inside or outside the nation.”

The Invincibility Course will be held at Maharishi Vedic Universities in Europe, North America, India, and throughout the rest of the world. However, at the request of a government, the course can be held in any country—and can be held under the auspices of the government.

Governments invited to contract with Maharishi Vedic University
to establish coherence-creating groups of Yogic Flyers

Maharishi also invited every government to contract with his Vedic university to establish a group of a few hundred to a few thousand Yogic Flyers in the country to create coherent collective consciousness, the basis of invincibility for the nation. The number of Yogic Flyers required depends upon the size of population of the country. “Just as the government gives contracts to experts for building bridges, roads, electric power lines, etc., it can also contract with our University to build invincibility for the nation,” Maharishi said.

Rajas will create a Royal Union of Invincible Nations
for the World to Be Heaven on Earth

Maharishi concluded by announcing that the second Raja Training Conference for Administrators of the Global Country of World Peace is now under way at Maharishi Vedic University in Holland. “The Rajas are being trained to function on the self-referral level of Transcendental Consciousness—the Constitution of the Universe,” Maharishi said. “Functioning from that unmanifest level, the Rajas will ensure that the whole country will be governed by Total Natural Law. Then individual and national life will always be in the evolutionary direction.”

As a result, Maharishi said, the Rajas will create a Royal Union of Invincible Nations. “With this, the world is going to be Heaven on Earth,” Maharishi said.

(March 9, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week challenged world leaders to justify their huge defense budgets when no military today has the capability to truly safeguard the nation. Instead of sending off their youth to die in battle for the sake of imaginary defense, Maharishi urged governments to contract with his Vedic University to create coherent collective consciousness and raise the nation to invincibility.

“When no military can save the nation, then what right does the government have to sacrifice the wealth and the youth of the nation? The whole approach is fraudulent and a bankruptcy of intellect,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi said he can raise any nation to invincibility within six months to one year at a tiny fraction of the country’s defense budget—as little as one-tenth of one percent of military expenditures. “With the blessings of the tradition of Vedic masters, we have the knowledge of Total Natural Law, which administers the universe with perfect order. And we can train groups of experts to make every nation invincible using Vedic technologies of Total Natural Law,” Maharishi said.

to create coherent national consciousness

Maharishi then delivered a strongly worded “wake-up” call to the government of India. “India is the land of the Veda—the land of Total Knowledge of Natural Law. It has its own, highly effective, prevention-oriented Vedic defense strategy: ‘Avert the danger before it arises.’ It has the knowledge to raise every nation to perfect peace, happiness, and fulfillment,” Maharishi said. “But the government of India is asleep—it is not using the Vedic knowledge to fulfill its parental role for the nation. It is not using the knowledge to create coherent national consciousness. And that is why neither India nor any other nation is able to rise to invincibility.”

Manmade constitutions should be supported
by the eternal Constitution of the Universe

Maharishi said the deplorable condition of India’s government—and every other government—is because they are administering the nation through manmade constitutions, which were formulated by a small number of people at the founding of the nation. “A manmade constitution will always have human weaknesses and human failings. It will never be perfect—it will always be subject to modifications,” Maharishi said. “That is why manmade constitutions must be supported and supplemented by the eternal Constitution of the Universe—the administration of the laws of nature that govern the universe with perfect order—the administration of God.”

Improper orientation of buildings creates disharmony in government

Maharishi said he has been delivering the same message of perfect administration to India’s government leaders for 50 years, but it has repeatedly fallen on deaf ears. In response to a press question, Maharishi explained why. “The Parliament buildings, and other buildings and residences where government employees work and live, are not properly oriented to the east. They are not built according to Vedic architecture in harmony with Natural Law,” Maharishi said. “Improperly oriented buildings always create disintegrated brain functioning. As a result, thinking will always be clouded, there will always be disharmony in government, and the whole population will continue to suffer.”

Maharishi called for all improperly oriented buildings to be destroyed immediately, and for new buildings to be designed and built according to Vedic architecture—Vastu vidya—to promote life in harmony with Natural Law. “Then India will rise to invincibility and be a guiding light for the family of nations,” Maharishi said.

 “Follow my advice and you will be better off”

Maharishi concluded by announcing that after 50 years of talking to governments about his programs to create invincibility for every nation, he is done with explaining how his program works. “Now is the time for governments to contract with our University to build invincibility for the nation—just as they contract with experts to build bridges and electric power plants,” Maharishi said. “Follow my advice and you will be better off—or don’t follow my advice and you will be ‘hooted’ out of office by your own people because in the spirit of democracy only that will survive which is of value.”

However, Maharishi emphasized to the global press, he will create a bright future for the world—whether governments respond immediately or later. “We want to bring the descent of Heaven on Earth—Sat Yuga—in our lifetime,” Maharishi said. “For this, we are training 3,000 Rajas who will administer the world from the self-referral field of Transcendental Consciousness. From that unmanifest source of creation, the Rajas will bring the support of the omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent Total Natural Law to promote the evolution of every individual, every nation, and the whole world family.”

(March 16, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi announced this week that his Vedic universities are reaching out to every government to offer a scientifically validated program to raise the nation to invincibility and create a world of permanent peace, prosperity, and fulfillment for everyone.

Maharishi explained that governments do not need to understand how his program works in order for it to produce the desired result. “Just as a government contracts with experts to build a bridge, without the government first understanding the principles of engineering, so, too, governments can contract with our scientists to create invincibility for the nation without first understanding the principles of how we will produce the effect,” Maharishi said.

to raise the nation to invincibility

Maharishi explained that his Vedic universities will create invincibility in the nation by training a group of few hundred to a few thousand local people in the science and technology of Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers the universe with perfect order. The number of people to be trained will depend upon the size of the country’s population. “These peace-creating experts will be engaged by the government to create an intense influence of coherence and harmony in collective consciousness—the basis of invincibility for the nation,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi said his global peace program also calls for every government to engage a group of specially trained Vedic pandits from the Vedic families of India to support and enrich the effect produced by the local peace-creating groups. “These Vedic pandits will utilize Vedic sounds—reverberations of the Unified Field—to enliven the Constitution of the Universe and create coherent national consciousness. Then no enemy will be born—no foreign influence with any malicious intent will be able to penetrate the nation,” Maharishi said.

Maharishi likened this phenomenon to the Meissner Effect of physics, which states that the ability of a system to resist any internal or external disruptive influence is based on its own internal coherent collective functioning.

Invincibility will flow from country to country—
and no country will oppress any other country

Maharishi contrasted the eternal knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe with the immature knowledge of manmade constitutions, with their human weaknesses and human failings. “The situation in the world today makes it clear that manmade constitutions are not competent to prevent problems for the nation,” Maharishi said. “However, with the knowledge of the Constitution of the Universe, every nation will rise to invincibility. Peace, prosperity, and fulfillment will flow from country to country—and no country will oppress any other country.”

Extensive scientific research conducted during the past 50 years has validated Maharishi’s approach. However, Maharishi emphasized, his approach is not new. “The Constitution of the Universe—the Veda—has been utilized for countless generations in India,” Maharishi said.

Contacting the press out of love, cordiality, and respect

In response to a press question, Maharishi said he is motivated to contact governments out of love, cordiality, and respect. “It is our parental responsibility to prevent negativity from arising anywhere in any nation. When a friend is suffering unnecessarily from an illness, you are desperate to give him a tablet to relieve his suffering. That is why we are desperate to say to governments, ‘Take this knowledge to create invincibility for your nation—it will do you good,’” Maharishi said.

Maharishi concluded by urging the world press to carry his message around the globe. “Tell your governments to take a chance with me,” Maharishi said. “If what I say turns out to be true, then the people will be enlightened, every nation will be invincible, and there will be permanent peace on earth. And if nothing comes from my offer, then the worst that will happen is that the world will remain as it is now. But ‘the proof of the pudding is in the tasting.’ So we welcome all governments to contract with us today—and not wait for tomorrow.”

(March 23, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi this week urged the world press to watch for the first signs of an unprecedented global transformation from widespread chaos and destruction to permanent peace and harmony in the world. Maharishi said the transformation will begin to be seen within the next few months through the global effects of his peace-creating technologies of Total Natural Law.

“My proclamation to the world press is this: Very soon you will begin to see how the light of our beautiful knowledge is redeeming every country and the whole world,” Maharishi said. “The rise of coherence in world consciousness will spontaneously topple down negativity in every area of life.”

Signs of the global transformation will include the fall of governments that promote destruction and the demise of democracies that undermine national integrity and divide a country against itself.

Maharishi said that every government is so saturated with problems that its leaders cannot conceive of the possibility of rising to invincibility. “But I am telling the governments: ‘If the destruction of any nation is possible, so, too, is the possibility of raising every nation to invincibility through my knowledge,’” Maharishi said.

Maharishi said that governments are gripped by problems because the nation is being administered by manmade constitutions with their human weaknesses and human failings. “That is why there is so much negativity in government, and that is why no military can save the nation, no health department can prevent disease, and no economic policy can prevent poverty,” Maharishi said.

To prevent problems and create invincibility for every nation, Maharishi announced that his Vedic universities are now offering to government leaders and patriotic citizens of every nation a Training Program in Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers the universe with perfect order. Maharishi said the Training Program will raise the leaders to enlightenment and the nation to invincibility.

Maharishi also announced that governments are invited to contract with his Vedic universities to train groups of local people to enliven the Constitution of the Universe and create coherence in collective consciousness—the basis of invincibility for the nation.

Maharishi emphasized that the wise governments that contract with his Vedic universities will enjoy prevention-oriented administration and remain in power—but those governments that fail to act promptly will soon lose the support of the people and fall from power. “It’s now or never. If the government has any expertise in the field of science or any sense of responsibility for its people, the government will contract with us to create coherent national consciousness. Then everyone in the country will be free from stress and strain, free from fear and conflict—and the government will maintain its ruling authority,” Maharishi said.

Demise of democracy will be a sign of rising coherence in world consciousness

Maharishi also alerted the press to watch for another sign of the rise of coherence in world consciousness: the demise of the democratic system of administration, particularly in India—the world’s largest democracy. “Damn democracy,” Maharishi said. “It is a waste of energy, a waste of time, and a waste of hope. It is the greatest crime against the life of a country because party politics divide brother against brother and undermine the integrity of the nation.” Maharishi also condemned democracy for forcing a continual turnover in government: “It is just a matter of common sense. If you change your parents every four years, what will happen to the children? If you change the government every four years, what will happen to the whole population?”

Maharishi concluded by explaining that his peaceful approach silently creates coherent world consciousness from the unmanifest, unchanging self-referral field of Transcendental Consciousness—the eternal Constitution of the Universe. “The bubbles of negativity will naturally disappear, as darkness disappears with the onset of light. Then we will welcome Sat Yuga—the age of positivity. And we will say goodbye to Kali Yuga—the age of negativity,” Maharishi said. “And then the world press will be fortunate to report—day after day, week after week—the good news of a bright future dawning for all mankind.”

We will have to watch how long it takes for the Indian government to give Indian money to Indian Vedic Pandits to become invincible—rather than continue to give Indian money to the destroyers of the world to buy arms and create war in the Indian continent.”

(March 30, 2005) His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi announced this week that he has launched an historically unprecedented program to create a problem-free India as a stepping-stone to creating a problem-free world. Maharishi said that large numbers of peace-creating experts—Vedic Pandits—have now been trained in India. Through the daily routine of their Vedic performances, the Vedic Pandits will create coherent collective consciousness—the basis of invincibility for the nation.

Maharishi invited the world press to watch for signs of the success of his program. “When the Indian government becomes a harmonious Vedic government—when it becomes a beautiful mosaic of differences, free from problems and conflict—then the world press will tell me, ‘Yes, what you have promised has been realized in one country, India.”

Maharishi added that the influence of India’s coherent national consciousness will spread throughout the world, and the whole population will breathe life in ease and comfort—just as a lamp that is lit spreads light throughout a hall.

Maharishi explained that Vedic knowledge is universal knowledge—equally useful for all countries. However, India was selected as the first nation to demonstrate Maharishi’s program for two reasons:

1. India is the home of the Vedic tradition. “Since times immemorial, there has been a class of people in India—Vedic Pandits—whose life is dedicated to maintaining, and enlivening in collective consciousness, the Veda, Total Natural Law,” Maharishi said. “There are now large numbers of Vedic Pandits in India quietly performing Vedic Yagyas and Grahashanti, which they learned from their parents. These Vedic performances will bring the transcendental field of Total Natural Law into the field of behavior. Then problems will disappear, just as darkness disappears with the onset of light.”
2. India is one of the world’s biggest countries—with a population of one billion people.
   “I am starting with India so that no one can say, ‘Oh, you produced the effect in a small country,’” Maharishi said. “India will be a fair measure of the power and dignity of our Vedic approach.”

Maharishi acknowledged that the understanding of Vedic knowledge has become distorted due to the foreign rule of India—but the reality of Vedic knowledge remains undisturbed. “Even though the tree may be damaged, the hollow nothingness within the seed—from where a new tree sprouts—remains undisturbed,” Maharishi said. “Like that, the Veda, the Constitution of the Universe—the source of the infinite diversity of the ever-expanding galactic universe—cannot be disturbed. It is the transcendental, unmanifest, unified reality of life. It is available to the Vedic Pandit on the level of his own total brain functioning—on the level of his own self-referral Transcendental Consciousness.”

Maharishi said another sign of the rise of coherence in collective consciousness will be the demise of the divisive influence of democracy in India. “Administration should promote peace, prosperity, and evolution in the nation. But the basis of democracy is disharmony—with one party fighting against another party,” Maharishi said. “A sign of our success will be when the Indian government gets out of the smog of democracy—not through fighting, but through creating coherent national consciousness. Then the government will be a Vedic government—administered by the Constitution of the Universe—impartial and equally helpful to everyone.”

Importance of proper orientation of buildings

In order to produce this effect, Maharishi emphasized that the Vedic Pandits must have a proper diet and proper housing to go along with their daily routine of Vedic performances. For that, Maharishi said, the Vedic Pandits will reside in east-facing buildings designed according to Vedic architecture—Sthapatya Veda—to gain the support of Natural Law and bring success to their Vedic performances.

For that reason, Maharishi also called for all improperly designed government buildings in India to be demolished immediately. “Government leaders will never think right, nor will they ever succeed in their functions, as long as they live and work in old buildings with a wrong orientation,” Maharishi said. Maharishi added that with rise of coherence in national consciousness, the government will be inspired to demolish the old buildings and India will be renewed on all levels—physical, mental, and spiritual. “Then the light of Total Natural Law will spread from India throughout the world, and all other governments will renew their nations in the same way.”
